Welcome to the official site of the MAINES BROTHERS BAND. Here, you will probably find more information about the Maines Brothers Band than you would ever want to know. However, if the information you are looking for is not somewhere on this site, just shoot us an email and we will do our best to accomodate.
During the 1980s, the MBB created a unique style of music that infused a number of genres, including Country, Bluegrass, and Rock & Roll. The band created a raw, hard-edged style of "West Texas Music", drawing the label of "Aggressive Country" and described by some critics as "Country Music with a Rock & Roll Attitude".
The Maines Brothers Band has recorded eight albums. Six on the "Texas Soul" label and two with "Mercury/Polygram" in Nashville, Tennessee. Five of the Texas Soul recordings are currenty available on CD. You can purchase those through this site. Just go to the "MERCHANDISE" page.
We have recently added new photos to the "Photo Page". You'll find pictures from the 2007 Lubbock Arts Festival Concert. Special thanks to Ralph and Faith Hammelbacher, from Birmingham, Alabama for poviding the great "shots". The concert was called "The Maines Brothers Band: A Family Affair" and AN AWESOME TIME WAS HAD BY ALL.
Thanks for visiting the official Maines Brothers Band website. We invite you to sign the "Guestbook" and check out the "Merchandise" section. We also welcome your comments and suggestions. We look forward to hearing from you. THANKS FOR LISTENING!!
